Director's Profile:
International Air Fare Desk is spearheaded by Gouri Dixit, a luminary in the field of travel training. In fact, many students still come around the office asking for ‘Ms. Dixit’s class”.
An English Literature graduate from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, she started life in the industry by joining Air India’s London operations.
On returning to India, Gouri joined Lufthansa in Bombay, where she worked until she perceived the industry’s need for organised training and set up IAFD in 1991. Along the way, she has also conducted numerous training courses for Travel Agents on behalf of Lufthansa. She also conducted trainings at Lufthansa Training Centre in Seeheim, Germany where the Airline's Travel Agents were often invited.
Over the past twenty years, she has also conducted courses for Internationally renowned airlines like:
1) Lufthansa - at Colombo, Dhaka, Kolkatta, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune , Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Madras and Mumbai.
2) Qantas - at Mumbai.
